The Nursery Team
Emma Brett is our manager, and has worked at the nursery since it was established in January 1999. Emma is very experienced having worked in childcare all her working life. Emma has a BTEC National Diploma in Nursery Nursing, and has just completed her NVQ Level 4 qualification in Childcare and Education.
In addition to her managerial role, Emma is the Equal Opportunities and Child Protection co coordinator, as well as being a designated first aider.
Nikola Hiskett the Deputy Manager has worked at the nursery since 1999, and also has a significant amount of experience in childcare. Nikki has an NNEB Diploma in Childcare and Education and has just completed her NVQ Level 4 qualification.
In addition to assisting Emma with her management responsibilities, Nikki is the nursery SENCO (special educational needs co coordinator) and has attended all relevant training courses.
Nikki is also a designated first aider and has attended basic food hygiene courses.
The remainder of the nursery team are either NVQ Level 2, Level 3 and Level 4 qualified, and have worked at the nursery for a number of years.
All members of staff are CRB checked and have received the necessary clearance.
We continually strive to improve our standard of care by accessing as much training as possible, which enables us to update and improve our knowledge on all early years care and education related topics.
The nursery has its own cook, who prepares healthy well-balanced meals in our fully equipped kitchen. The cook has attended all food and hygiene courses.
