Nursery Aims and objectives

The Nursery aims to provide a high quality service, with flexible care and early year’s education for children between the ages of 3 months and 5 years.

We feel that by providing high quality care and education that this gives a strong framework for the effective learning and development of young children.

In our nursery all children feel secure and valued, and this is promoted by our interaction with the children, and their parents.

We maintain development records for all children, which are readily accessible to parents.

We value the individuality of each child irrespective of race, gender, religion, ability or culture, therefore encouraging the children to respect the fact that people are different.

We promote positive images throughout the nursery environment.

The nursery creates an environment which:

a) Provides an opportunity to promote high quality care where children feel able to develop social skills, interacting both with adults and children.

b) Provides intellectual stimulation and space where children are encouraged to develop a wide range of physical and intellectual skills.

c) Enables children to express their fears, needs and joys with confidence in the knowledge that they will be recognised.

d) Encourages children to develop emotionally, socially, physically and intellectually.

Parental involvement is actively encouraged throughout the nursery so that our policies can be constantly reviewed to ensure that we provide the best quality care.
