Our cook provides all meals and refreshments throughout the day.

The menus vary although samples of the food served at nursery are detailed below:

Breakfast

• A selection of cereals

Dinner

• Cottage pie with cabbage and broccoli
• Homemade chunky tuna cakes with fresh seasonal vegetables
• Sweet and sour chicken with noodles

Dessert

• Fresh fruit selection
• Yoghurt

Afternoon snack

• Crackers
• Vegetable sticks
• Fruit bread

Tea

• Tomato soup with fresh basil
• Spanish Omelette and salad
• Jacket potato with cheese and beans

Drinks served throughout the day

• milk
• water

The nursery also caters for vegetarians and will provide alternative meals for those children with allergies, ethnic and/or religious dietary requirements. Other, not so common dietary requirements will be dealt with on an individual basis, with every effort being made to meet each child’s needs.

There is a separate menu for babies under the age of one based upon a no salt diet and takes into consideration the weaning needs of a small child and the importance of introducing new foods gradually.

We have recently been awarded 5 stars for our food hygiene standards, which is the highest score you can achieve.
